Couldn't be fucked in the end to do any 'proper cooking' - TOO HOT!

So I had coconut dhal and toasted pitta bread and the boy had cheese on toast (with ketchup underneath), a bowl of cornflakes, a couple of kiwi fruit AND some of my dhal/pitta.

maybe leftover Turkish Lentil Soup, but I have a feeling that I might scoff that at lunchtime...

might whizz up some cauliflower pakoras and have them with something...pitta and salad maybe... and some poppadoms for munching...

Very simple but tasty pesto/pasta last night.

Have some (not amazing) sausages to use up.
Might get some beans/filler and other bits then do a small casserole.

Daal was lovely but I was too hot and still full of booze from the weekend to eat much of it.

Tonight shall be pasta, probably with a chilli and tomato sauce.

Toasted smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels with some dressed salad leaves and a few tomatoes on the side for me and the girl.

Nice and simple - although tbf I'm just eating a massive bowl of spicy pak choi, mushrooms, basa and king prawns in chicken stock/oyster sauce :D - so really I'm just doing that back to front lunch/dinner thing again. :hmm:

I have 4 limes that really need using up so something involving lots of limes. Or beans and toast washed down with caipirinhas.

Fuck - I can't think of what to have!

Well, nice cold beer or two first - maybe that will stimulate my taste buds

Chips n egg n mushy peas? Maybe

Not sure as yet, have some roast chicken from Sunday so may rustle up a chicken and cous cous salad.

But I've spent the day in the garden dead heading, putting up a trellis for the honeysuckle etc.. so it'd be a shame not to have a BBQ and admire my good work.

As Soj' has said, will decide after another cpl of beers as the missus will be home by then too.

yesterday was tortilla, chorizo cooked in wine, chicken and chorizo stew, meatballs in spicy sauce, prawns in garlic, patatas bravas, seafood and paella, green salad and olive and tomato bread. not bad for a clearing the freezer and fridge meal :D

tonight is flat mushrooms with cheese on top, more olive bread , air dryed ham and salad.

I had soda bread, avocado, cheese and asparagus. Hit the spot.
Will be having chocolate buttons and a cup of chai tea for dessert

We had spag bol too and didn't measure the pasta. Was too much though, and a bit cold as my mate rang just as it was served.

Sausages and a diced gammon joint in the casserole dish. With red onion, garlic, tomato, passata, mushrooms, peas, chickpeas, red wine, sugar, basil, paprika. About to go in the oven and to be served with shallow fried new potatoes.

Will see how it tastes :)

I had a chicken caesar sald, but I couldn't be bothered making croutons, so I had it with a big fat slice of bread and butter. Fusion cuisine or wot? :D

Strawberries and cream are awaiting me now. I shall scoff them while watching the second half of the football.

Smells yummy

hello tea thread :)

i'm trying to be more planned and economical cooking wise, so i thought i might get some inspiration on here.

tonight was last bits and pieces before the new month shop comes tomorrow morning: beef meatballs with paprika and chilli sauce (i've started doing meatballs loads more since i found out i can cook them in the oven, and i get to drink all the juices you have to pour off half way ), new pots, corn on cob, sugarsnap peas. followed by peach and cherry sorbet, this worked amazingly well, really soft and much better than all the icecream i've made lately that's gone a bit hard.

how can you people cook  it's just TOO HOT for me!

tonights was a king prawn salad - with pak choi and lettuce from my plot  I also learnt raw pak choi makes me chuck :(

how is it too hot to eat? you got to eat!
i'm having fish n spuds basically - haddock and jersey royals with butter, salt, pepper, lemon juice and parsley.
may toss some pancetta in with the spuds too.
