What kind of toolbox do you have?

TruXta

Having just acquired a much needed blue cantilevered toolbox, I'm positively anxious to learn how Urbanz stores and/or organises their tools.

BEHOLD

It's no good having a flash toolbox that's empty, TruX.

How much was it?
:D

20 quid in the local DIY. They had a few larger ones, but they were plastic, and I wanted a cantilevered one goddammit. :) That one above ain't mine tho. I've mostly got screwdrivers in mine at the moment.

I have one similar to this

My dad bought it for me a couple of years ago in an attempt to stop me "borrowing" his stuff, but that didn't really work :D

Mine's a toolBAG too, and it's pink. Most of the main tools in it are pink too. :D Gift from the ex-in-laws; I do actually like pink and really needed a tool set. It's had a lot of use.

Who cares what colour tools you have as long as they do the job.

Maybe I should do what cesare originally suggested and start a thread on what's in your toolbox/bag....

I have three: different categories of tools are in different boxes. One is my grandad's old tool box, which is small, metal and 40s; one is a huge plastic one one wheels and the last is a big standard metal cantilevered one. And they all fit in my lovely new shed, on shelves designed for them to fit perfectly.

I <3 my shed...

I bet the only thing you've got in it is a set of tiny screwdrivers out of a Christmas cracker :hmm:
:D I do have one set I got in a pound-shop. Also two hammers, one which is a novelty one and quite small that has a bottle-opener where the claws normally go. I keep my gardening tools in the shed tho. (Most of them belong to my father in law :()

I have a massive plastic box thats full of stuff thats not much use.

My mate has a small cardboard box that some perfume came in. She has one phillips screwdriver thats broken, a load of old nails and screws and a hole punch. Its the most useless tool box i've ever seen.

mine is a sturdy heavy duty plastic affair with trays that swing out. it is too small for all my tools, which are suspiciously shiny.

the old man down the road who is DIY advisor, local historian and tool-lender has a tool SHED. It is amazing. Eveything. EVERYTHING. allin its place and rack, according to type and size etc.

thats what I aspire to

Me too, but a) I need a bigger shed, b) more tools, and most importantly c) tasks which the tools can help me sort out. Does he have outlines on the walls for all the different tools?
