What kind of shops would you like to see in the Brixton Arcades?

So, as has been discussed frequently on these here boards, the arcades (particularly Granville) weren't doing too well in the past.

What shops do you think Brixton needs or wants?

I think now Fads/Homeforce (or whatever they were called) have gone, Brixton central now needs somewhere central for buying paint/decorators' stuff etc. (Reckon they'd have to take up a few units though). I know there's a few places in Acre Lane and I've been up to Decorators' Mate twice today (and I love Decorators' Mate), but I think one centrally in Brixton would be good.

A hardware shop would also be nice.

The pet shop back would also be nice.

Is there a candle shop now the one down the side of the tube station has gone? Reckon that would do well as yuppies love dinner parties.

What's wrong with the supermarkets/convenience stores etc? I shall allow it though as long as you sell other unusual or not available in supermarkets alcohol. Would be a good place to buy Christmas presents I think.

You could also sell worldwide beers. In fact, I like the idea so much, I think you'll need 3 units and I'm going to let you have them at a reduced rent.

The range in supermarkets in brixton is rubbish. and yeh it'd be nice if it sold unusual beers too. never been able to figure out why we dont have an oddbins or something.
