Hi,
This year is going to be a defining year for me. two years back I found my best friends when students came to my college in an exchange program. They really helped me to become what I am today. Even though we haven't met together since then, we have been active in social medias.
Two of them are from the US and this summer they have invited me and others for the vacation. I have saved enough to go there and look forward to spending some fun time together. But, there is a problem. Some years back I was convicted for driving under the influence of alcohol. I was caught with BAC of 0.10%. My friends told me to get the waiver for US entry. I found online that this document has only a limited validity. I didn't know DUI is such a big offense. I don't have any other criminal record.
The period is given as 6 to 18 months. Will I get the waiver before Summer? What is the best chance to get it? Is it necessary to meet an attorney? If you have any knowledge about it please share your suggestions.
