Wales vs Portugal, European Championship semi-final, Weds 6 July, 8pm

Fucking ITV. I want to see the fans and the players not listen to a load of ex players drone on.
Keane is interesting, at least. With that level of insight and passion, I'd agree with Mourinho's assessment of Giggs' managerial capabilities m

Flat end to a glorious campaign, and even then no reason why you couldn't have nicked it.

That game was screaming out for Ramsay. If ever there was a player-shaped hole in a formation it was his. Not saying we'd necessarily have won with him on the pitch but by god we wouldn't have looked so flat. We all kidded ourselves we might be ok without him while deep down knowing how much his absence would hurt us. Sadly, the snidey whispers in our heads were right.

As an England fan, I took our departure as annoying, frustrating, humiliating - and slightly amusing that we'd found a yet more embarrassing way to leave a tournament. Wales have none of that and gave a it a good go. Sorry, obvious point alert, but along with Iceland they really showed what could be done with a mixed bag of players from superstar to league one) + team spirit and organisation.

I'm feeling a bit deflated today but feel so happy with the way that the Welsh team (and fans) gave a good account of themselves in France. Like Iceland (and Leicester!) they proved that a great team is not always all about big stars and planet sized egos. They played like a team and made sure that the fans knew that they were being appreciated. It was a magnificent tournament for Wales!

They played great, and certainly deserved every bit to be in that semi-final. I reckon if Ramsey was on the pitch they may have done a bit better but for my money they were pound for pound as good as Portugal in the first half.

Hope they get a heroes welcome back in Cardiff to contrast the tragic England flops who deservedly flew back to no fanfare.

I thought Wales edged the first half. Less possession but more dangerous with it.

Second goal killed it. And yes, really really really really really missed Ramsey, as we all feared would happen.

A bit of a flat end tbh, but Ronaldo's header for the first goal was superb. The single bit of quality in the match.

Yep. Very much a team but with moments of individual magic as well, including for my money very clearly the goal of the tournament, and the high point of a whole career, for HRK.

Yeah, its hard to say they were robbed over the 90 mins, but it might have been different with a another policy on yellow cards/bans (though Pepe would also have played, I think).

It was mentioned during the Q/F, but with the addition of an extra game (round of 16) it did seem odd they didn't wipe the yellows before the Q/F stage. Two yellows over five matches is a bit harsh.
