There used to be a large discount bookshop across the road from Victoria - The Bookshed iirc - which was worth a browse while I was waiting for my train. It closed down, and the EasyEverything opened where it was.
Can't remember what it was called, but I'm pretty sure it may have been under this building. Hard to tell where exactly as too many vehicles on google maps blocking view
No mention of Charing Cross? Perhaps the best rail gateway to London, straight out into the Strand, a few steps from Trafalgar Sq. or the Embankment gardens. My favourite area of London.

Interesting - the Strand always feels to me like a decaying provincial high street which happens to have millions of pedestrians. On second thoughts, if it went all artisan coffee and pop-up shop, I'd probably moan about that too. Embankment Gardens is really nice though.
