Miss-Shelf
I'll meet you further on up the road
because who doesn't need a ceremonial mace?
Tbh if I'd known yesterday what I know today I'd have gone for that now so many of the students have gone home. Nice little earnerGood news, everyone: universities are still open in Tier 4!
We officially closed yesterday and I won't be due back on campus until January (when I'm sure this will have all blown over... ), but various colleagues have volunteered to keep the libraries open over the Christmas break (getting paid double and a one-off £150, to be fair).
No, we've not had any communication from our employer since breaking up on the 22nd.Anyone heard anything about universities imposing new safeguards for staff returning next week?
Or the timetable next term will be justified by the interpretation of a survey.Apparently our one is surveying students "to determine their appetite for face-to-face teaching", so next term's timetable etc will depend on the survey results.
There are no staff returning in a face-to-face role until at least February where I am. And that was announced before Tier 3 lockdown.Anyone heard anything about universities imposing new safeguards for staff returning next week?
I'm meant to be in on Tuesday but... well, fuck knows now.Hoping I can WFH next week. Got nothing to do with the fact I'd have to use a day's AL to take deliverly of a new washing machine
Likewise, and currently still expect to be.I'm meant to be in on Tuesday but... well, fuck knows now.
All teaching in January to be delivered online, except for medicine and dentistry subjects, associated subjects such as nursing, dental hygiene, etc, and teacher training.
Libraries aren't mentioned, but assuming that means we'll still be open in our limited capacity as before Christmas.
Two types of testing available to staff, Lateral Flow and... summat else, forget what exactly.
Same here. Next week is a non-teaching week at least. No comms whatsoever!
Got word from library management that we are indeed due back tomorrow. All teaching in January to be delivered online, except for medicine and dentistry subjects, associated subjects such as nursing, dental hygiene, etc, and teacher training.
