Thread about spiders (not for the arachnophobic!)

Look what has come ashore in London moochedit

Sadly it's just augmented reality but you can use that to fill your house with lovely spiders.

Someone on our local Facebook group posted that their pet tarantula had escaped its tank (again). They also said it was very adept at climbing in through letterboxes.

What followed were hundreds of posts with people saying they had taped up their letter boxes and linking in other people to do the same.

Due to the nature of Facebook, even after the guy admitted it was a hoax, there are still people sharing the thread and posting that they're going to tape up their letterboxes! :D

Spiders are well known though to be very adept given they have eight legs. Opening letterboxes probably wouldn't be beyond their abilities, something I'm sure moochedit would agree with. :D

Aww bless! Poor things. I bet it looks really impressive when they're all over the buildings.
They're very sweet - it'd be great to swim in water with loads of spiders like that. It's probably the same in British cities after heavy rains, with every available surface pulsating with spiders escaping the water. :cool:

I don't understand why people don't like spiders - they're cute when they're scuttling about all over the place and belaying down from the ceiling. The more the merrier. It's always nice rescuing them from places they'd be in danger, and having a chat with them while taking them to a safer place to settle down.

It's my lifelong mission to get moochedit to love spiders. :cool:

* shudders * :eek:

Mirror Online: Horrified woman finds huge huntsman spider hanging from corner of shower.

Don't be coy - post up the pictures in the article of the beautiful spiders. :)

Who wouldn't want to have such a lovely creature in your house? It's beautiful. :cool:

You could overcome your irrational fear moochedit by printing loads of those ^^ pictures off in full colour, and putting them on the walls around your house. It would have a deeply calming effect as you learn spiders are your friends, and are keeping a look out for your safety...
