The Islamic state

Oh yeah, tonight as we speak the warlords of the so called FSA and the Al Qaeda grouping Jabhat Al Nusra have launched yet another joint offensive . This time in al houla . The latest in a long line of them . ISIS isn't with them this time . Unlike at Menagh airbase , khan al assal or a host of other spots .

All 3 of them though , IS , Al nusra and the remnants of the FSA that haven't defected to both are jointly getting wiped out in AlZabadani , their last stronghold in Qalamoun . After a 3 month SAA / Hezbollah offensive the western media have barely mentioned , too busy telling us the SAA and IS don't fight each other . Mentioning that major offensive and who it's against would only confuse the mugs .

But as soon as that last strongholds been wiped out tens of thousands of Syrian troops , NDF etc will be freed up for more offensives elsewhere . Therell be a lot more places they won't bother telling you about .

have they taken over infrastructure in the areas they have taken over? is the water, electricity etc still running? sorry, just beginning to read about it all.

Have Isis set out what their ultimate goal is? Free Palestine? Take over euro countries?

I believe they're going to have a temporary caliphate and escalating war and then once they've been all but wiped out (down to 5,000 believers cornered in Jerusalem) Jesus is going to come back riding a white bull, wielding a flaming sword, and smite the unbelievers, heralding an age of heaven on earth for all who are left.

Yeah and the final battle is to take place in Dabiq where their magazine is named after. From pictures ive seen it looks a bit like National Geographic or one of the magazines you would pick up at the dentist  and amazon got in trouble for selling it in boxed sets

thanks for the update.

How are they gonna get from the caliphate and war bit to jesus riding a white bull and killing all the kuffars with a sword? :D

They have to have the massive Final Battle and get whittled down to 5,000 once the anti-Messiah Dajjal joins the fray. Then it's all up to Jeebus to turn up on time.

Lets hope they get whittled down to 5000 without jesus or his bull needing to get involved

If Jesus did turn out to be an ISIS member I bet a lot of the fundamentalist gun-loving loons in the US would be thrilled tbh

That's the current plan. They are doing pretty well until Dajjal gathers his army of 70,000 Jews, then it goes badly for a while, then Jeebus turns up for the final act.

Obviously it's anyone's guess as to how many of them believe this and how many of them just want to shoot guns and rape people.

they also think that a sign of whether a group is the true believers or not is the fact every other sect will hate them so take the fact everyone hates them as a sign they are right.

Fuck's sake is all this ISIS millenarianism for real? I knew they were fucked in the head, but. . .

Though it may be a bright spot, I can't think of many violent millenarian sects being successful, or even organizationally stable, over the long term.

its part of some folks reading of them as s sort of 'death cult' although there is more to them than that, its certainly an aspect

It is all so odd. I cant get my head around it. On one hand they are political (hate the west) on the other they are medieval fascists (chucking gays off of buildings, raping women, etc). Toxic.

It's not some folks reading - it's their reading. It's utterly central to their wider ideology and what they seek to both teach and use to attract support.

I'd kind of wondered what your take on it might be since I expected you might be focused on the political angle. With all cults there seems to be the 'standard message' for the footsoldiers and then the separate matter of what the leadership are up to and what their agenda is.

I expect many of them simply want power.
