You're going to struggle to triple the efficiency of an amp that's already 80-odd percent efficient. Pint in a half pint pot and all...

The power cable on my boom box has died, and I can't find replacements to buy.

It's a 5.5 mil dc power cable, 12v, 2a, male to male barrel connector

Old thread bump..... but I'm thinking about building a portable soundsystem on a bike trailer for next year.

I've got a t-amp sitting around still and could even take the one out of my current boombox...... I've also got a 15 inch driver sitting around, do you reckon you could power that driver with a t-amp?

Depends on the driver. My home speakers have big drivers and they're run off a T-amp no problem. Can't hurt to try!
