Sprouting your own beans

I've got some fenugreek seeds actually, I imagine they will be quite pungent. I'll certainly give it a go.

Question: I've got a bag of unopened aduki beans which I was going to use for sprouting, it says best before May 2008 on the packet. Will i die?

Firstly, may I just point out that "sprouting your own beans" is a euphemism that is completely new to me, and one I shall be using in future whenever I get the chance.

Secondly. Fresh fenugreek leaves are fantastic with lamb.

Which is why, thirdly, I shall be having a go at following suit from next week.

If you crunched an awful lot of unsprouted ones, perhaps... though you're more likely to hurt your teeth.

I reckon a salad spinner is an essential part of one's sprouting kit.
