No, I just think a weapon that costs millions of dollars and gleefully melts itself down to scrap metal after being fired once is a bit of a waste of money.
And knowing the Americans if they ever did get one on a battlefield they'd only use it to shoot their own forces by mistake.

I want railguns like the one in Quake 2 or none at all.
They were great. They'd reduce any opponent to paste in one shot but they had that split second delay that meant the noobs would always miss you so long as you kept moving.

We used to try making nailguns using the same principles as railguns when I was a kid.
Oh to have had the cheap rare-earth magnets then that you can get nowadays!! The hospitals would have been overwhelmed!!
