Not normally a fan of the audience shouting out but the guy who yelled "take your time, man!" at Allen was spot on. His gamesmanship of taking ages over ever simple shot is tedious.

That reminds me of a piece of commentary from a few years ago:

Generally, the pace of play is much higher than it was, and break-building is also higher. Back in the 80s, they'd flash on the screen when a break reached 40. Oooooh.

How long this evening before someone says, "Barry needs to win this first frame"?

I find myself sometimes saying things on a shot, only to hear it repeated verbatim by a commentator. That's the case even when it's not a cliché. Should I be worried?

Sad to hear of Terry's death and difficult latter years.
Mrs B remembers Terry and others playing exhibition matches in the late 70's/early 80s at snooker hall just down the road from her flat in Carlisle Street, Splott.
