Snooker 2024-25

Not seen nearly as much of this masters as i would have liked, but watching WilsonvBrecel this evening (good watch so far) and catching up on the afternoon match...

Ding :(

Blacked out before the end last night, long week.

Murphy v Allen is a very good watch so far, although, MUrphy looks like he might be engaing 'smug mode' imminently :/

Judd-Kyren later, which I saw at the Masters quite a few years ago, before Kyren was a real challenger. I think there used to be some bad blood between them, but probably all sorted now.

Hard to imagine anyone having an issue with Kyren, he seems such a nice bloke. Went off Trump a little bit after he won the world championship and became number 1. He seemed to get a bit full of himself and thinking he was the face and spokesman for snooker, somewhat. Doesn't help that as great as he's been since, he's been very disappointing at the World Championship. Not a huge issue, by any means, and sure he's probably generally OK as a person, but usually I find myself supporting his opponent.

Can't remember who the phrase originally was about but, if Murphy was a chocolate biscuit- he'd eat himself 🍪
Explains why the wasp likes him.

Hoping Trump wins because I have a bad feeling Wilson will bottle it against Murphy if he does. Trump apparently is less up his own hole than he used to be, so that's nice. (Also, Wilson looks like a René Goscinny character.)

Absolutely made up for Wilson. He's not really a major hope to beat the Crucible curse but carry on like this and he is fighting his way into being a WC contender again.

Oh no. They just showed Peter Ebdon sitting there and mentioned that Shaun Murphy is now working with him. Another reason to dislike the smug, frog faced fucker.

Murphy has been playing like that all week, pretty much. His confidence is sky-high, and, to coin a phrase, it's vital that Wilson wins that first mini session tonight.

Do commentators have preferred colleagues? Davis and Hendry seem to be together a lot, and you often get Taylor and Doherty in the booth alongside one another.
