Shrimp Tank / Aquarium

Sorry to hear that. We had some loses when we had to move some from another tank we took down as it was getting old and not worth replacing filter

Lambson loves his fish keeping so have been using him for labour while he stays. He's been maintaining the main tank with me and he got himself a little nano shrimp tank

I'm in the process of setting up a no filter nano tank. Have ordered some plants so need to wait for them to come before I start. Tank is all ready, have also got some dirt and substrate. Won't have anything other than some shrimps, snails and maybe eventually a pair of fish.

Pretty much following this

I realised I had a tank that had been home to stick insects till they died. So with a bit of a round up of bits and pieces, I had a couple of small crappy filters, a small heater, donor gravel, rocks and plants from the main tank, a desk lamp and sorted. New home for guppies and shrimp. Found 8 Amano in the big tank, hadn't seen more than 2 for ages!!

Had to get everything out the big tank to catch the shrimps so gave that a little tinker. This tank has CO² and decent lights with a cool timer that does moon phases and all sorts, as in at New moon there is no moon light and full moon it its brighter. So I have a daytime light curve and a night time one. Only stock now is 2 bristlenose cat fish (m&f), an otocinclus, and 4 black neons... I want Angel fish!!

The nano tank hasn't been touched since I did it the other day. Plants are starting to orient to the light. Floating plants have their roots starting to reach down. The fun of tanks like this is not only are they small but they focus you on the small things that happen
