I do like it but I think my affection for Spaced and all the jazz kind of clouds my real judgement of it because I don't think it's as funny as it thinks it is.

Same with Hot Fuzz although I might even say I think Hot Fuzz is funnier, if more flawed.

I think Simon Pegg is very funny.

I'm slightly sick of him now (he was the worst thing about the new Trek film by a country mile) but Spaced was one of the best UK comedies since Red Dwarf.

I watched this for the first time last night. Largely agree with the sentiments on this thread - funny - lol'd quite afew times.. but wouldn't describe it as a classic. I wonder if it improves if you 'get' all the Zombie movie references?

ETA: it is coincidentally showing in cinemas atm.. some 20th anniversary thing..
