SAS rogue troopers

Absolutely. You get different accents from one end of the DART to the other! :D

North Co Dublin
Proper Dubs in the city centre
South Co Dublin

I'm not really familiar with the NI accent. It sounds real enough to me but is he hamming it up a bit like the Kiwi guy doing his cockney thing in The Boys? Or is he actually really trying.... ? Although I'm still not sure if the kiwi guy really believed his accent sounded genuine or not :D

I think he is really trying but he is also a bit hammy as he is chewing the scenery a bit. But Paddy Mayne was a larger than life character so probably fair enough.

The latest thing that is annoying me is Bill Stirling's hat.

To me the one in the show is USAF style. Sure the Brit's wore the flat one mostly.

I'm still enjoying it for what it is.

IT'S NOT A HISTORY LESSON I KNOW! :D

Actually that shirt is suspect as well, looks like he just stepped out of a B17.

It's fucking entertaining though... and is actually a slight history lesson. I wonder what the actual current SAS guys think about it.

Yes, what the guys think about they have done with murdering people in Afghanistan and put their feet up in front of the TV and relax.

The memo, written to the head of Special Forces in April 2011, said that there appeared to be "an unofficial policy" among SAS squadrons to kill any fighting-age Afghan male during a raid "regardless of the immediate threat they pose to our troops".
It added: "In some instances this has involved the deliberate killing of individuals after they have been restrained by [the SAS] and the subsequent fabrication of evidence to suggest a lawful killing in self defence."

Not wishing to spoil any hints in the later episodes:

Good article, I used to drink in Bartley Dunnes in the late 80s! It was more of an alternative open to anyone bar then. Loads of punks and rockers.
