Salute DJ Hype

DJ Hype - underrated I think - perhaps as a DJ but definitely as a producer - put together some of the biggest and maddest hardcore/jungle/rave tunes of all time...

THE SCIENTIST - THE BEE

Used to utterly love this tune, was a proper dancing tune back in the day, this and DA Posse - It's My Life (my fav tune to dance to ever).

One of the absolute maddest nights of my life I owe to The Bee - a mate had made a mix tape  but had looped the bee buzzing bit so it went on for about 10 mins before starting into the mix, this night we were camping in a field which had pretty long grass and when coming up on sid we all crawled through the grass like commandos listening to the buzzing.

Sounds shite typing it, but my goodness is it a firm memory.

One of the first tapes I ever bought was a Hype tape off a guy outside Camden Tube. We had been to the market after a night at the Rocket and I'd bought a copy of The Beginning/The End on vinyl
Was one of the tunes on the tape and I was made up.

Lost the tape but found a download copy online about a year ago. Still an epic tape.
