I am loving everything about Art Simone, my early favourite by a mile, she had the best walk in outfit, STUNNING born naked and also the best home town outfit.

hate Anita already, particularly the campy man to camera bits. just relax your face already.

Karen from Finance was great. I like Scarlett, Kita and Electra Shock as well.

Michelle Visage’s look was fabulous this week.

wondering if Ru’s lack of makeup was more to do with a lack of Raven?

I don’t think there was any obvious first to go. I really liked the personality of both of the bottom two so was sad to see one go. Electra was obviously winning the lip sync but I loved the way they played off each other I did wonder if it might be a both through moment.

they really need to do something about the ring lights in Ru’s glasses. very distracting.

WTAF. Snatch Game week 2!

I was a bit disappointed Art Simone had a bit of I should have won last week rage. I mean, yeah, she was top two and I did expect her to win but you’re meant to at least pretend you’re not bitter to the camera…

annoying that they didn’t talk us through everyone’s choices. I was trying to work out which queen was which person for a fair bit of the game.

Snatch game so disappointing. i liked Catherine O’Hara once I realised who it was from the weird voice (Electra) and sort of liked the queen (Anita). Bindi (Art Simone) and Dr Seuss (Kita) were mostly awful. not sure about the kidnap mum (etc), super bad taste. the rest didn’t make much of an impression.

Art Simone, Kita and Scarlett had fabulous outfits.

god Etc is so shady.

Art and Kita should have been saved by their outfits. Electra saved by the snatch game. Coco and Maxi Shield should have been bottom two.

fuck. tbf I don’t think Art was great at the lip sync, maybe because it was hard to move in that outfit and also crap song choice – one of RuPaul’s rappy ones – really? urgh

Snatch Game was the worst I've seen in Drag Race herstory. Some nice outfits but some pretty basic ones. And that's a particularly graceless exit, I get the disappointment but you go when you go.

Electra’s team looked fairly strong (apart from the half!), she had a good point about Etc and Scarlett being a bit too similar in approach, although I think Scarlett seems much nicer.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone lead the choreography so successfully in a rehearsal than Electra did. not even Todric Hall. so much respect to the whole team for taking direction as well.

Meanwhile Etc giving a classic drag race example of how to disrupt and undermine a rehearsal!

I think the judges got the wrong end of the stick about Electra doing more dancing, I assume it was deliberate cos the others weren’t as good! definitely the rest of her group didn’t feel she was being selfish. and fucking Etc putting her oar in to be critical.

Electra is going to be TiaCoffee all over again, great but just can't afford the outfits.

on the plus side still loving Karen as well.

that's interesting cos it didn't come across as bitter to me. it felt like she was so massively angry and upset with herself for not doing better. and i do think she was robbed cos she shouldn't have been bottom two even if she did lose the lip sync.

Love how Maxi Shield commented that she couldn’t sew so she fucking learnt. Yes. Exactly.

I don’t think there were any obvious fuck-ups in the runway. Really hard to judge.

Electra going for something actually flattering was a very wise decision.

Oh shame Etc didn’t do brilliantly. Terrible shame. Only wish she’d been bottom two.

Love how Scarlett had to back-handedly compliment Electra. Like, it would have been politer to say nothing.

Anita’s manic face was very one-note on the lip sync. it was her time.

The whole thing is a little bit shit really. Bringing back Art for what reason? And nothing for the only two poc queens who were elminated? OK. There is a lot of racist tattoo/blackface stuff in the history of Karen and Scarlet - Karen literally has coverups over golliwog tats on her legs. Feels backwards and amateruish.

All Stars is back though - more Ginger Minj! An actual talent But on Paramount+ which is streaming only I am sure one would be able to scare up eps on t*rrents though.

hmm, interesting that there was a focus on Scarlett's racist past this week and no mention of Karen. i really want to hope that Karen's public shame and regret is genuine because i liked her a lot but i don't want to be excusing and enabling.

on the plus side, my other favourite Electra Shock had a stella week, Kita Mean is also doing great and the shady bitch Etc left. also still liking Art.

I only watched the first episode and didnt go any further. They all seemed to know each other! Takes a lot of the fun out of it. I guess there's a much smaller pool to choose from downunder.

I agree. Wtf is Art back for? And no reason given.

I must say that the standard of outfits and talent generally on this series is nowhere near the same league as the US or UK versions. The outfits are very basic. It feels to me like the level of Season 1 of RPDR.

Very bitchy too.

I wonder if the bitchiness is down to that big fish in a small pond thing that you get sometimes. If there is a smaller pool of talent, it gets much more competitive.

I do like Electra though. She seems genuine and sweet, as well as being talented.

Anita Wiglit - what a character. Loved them, sad they're gone, and they were obviously loved by everyone too.

Love Maxi for not being shady with her matching, everyone got someone of a similar shape at least.

OMG, Electra has the best one! With the corset and the walk – whoop!

Also Kita’s guy is super into it which is lovely.

Beard guy looks so much fatter (and similar to Maxi Shield) without it. he gotta grow that back!

I did notice (before Karen said) - Art was the only one to not do the makeover guy first. She totally didn’t make the experience fun for her person like nearly everyone else did.

Kita’s family resemblance was A-MAZ-ING. I actually wasn’t sure which one was which at one point as her makeup is so full-on.

Same for Electra. Just wow. i think the criticism that she went with alien style makeup was a bit harsh - they looked identical!

And Maxi Shield as well! I mean, less glamorous but definitely family resemblance.

Art, Scarlett and Karen especially also great. Although in hindsight I can see that the Karen glasses do hide the face (presumably a deliberate choice in case they looked crap!).

This is definitely the best make-over challenge I have ever seen in all of drag race herstory. no obvious fuckups.

I mean, it’s the other one you can prepare for, people should be good!

Scarlett did a decent lipsync. Not like Etc who did the splits and tricks but never felt like it was with the music.

This was the best episode so far, I think. And the rugby boys were so sweet.

Scarlett did not do her drag sister many favours. Yes he was probably the second most manly, so why put him in a fucking corset? If she was going to make something, she could have made him feel more comfortable. And his makeup was terrible. I get different bone structure but lipstick is lipstick and Sapphire’s was a mess. Far, far worse than Electra’s.
But even though I don’t like Scarlett, her lipsynch was fabulous. The business with the gloves, all the interaction... Ru was delighted.

Poor Maxi. Should maybe have given herself a beard - at least there’d have been something that looked more effortful on stage. It was all a bit stretch-to-fit leisurewear. Pretty makeup but no drama.

Art really is a bit of a brat, I think. He really struggled to make his sister feel welcomed and involved. Excellent makeup artist, obviously, but I wouldn’t have ranked Art higher than Electra.

I thought Ru was unfair about Electra this week, saying that she’s bored of waiting for Electra to shine. She fucking won last week!! But when Ru starts with that narrative you know the queen won’t go much further.


Karen continues to flounder. Safe and somehow out of her depth. She needs a success urgently.

As did Kita. Hurrah for Kita! It’s such a cliche but the Kiwi queens have been so much nicer than the Aussies. I love Kita’s campy excessiveness. I totally loved her plastic ball dress from the design challenge. Even more so given how much it pissed off Etcetera.

Wow I think the standard has shot up since the drag sister episode. And Kita has upped her game so much. Her rugby sister black and white runway look was spectacular.

Scarlett was phenomenal this week with the poledancing and ostrich feather runway look which was so beautiful.

I think the right queens are still in the competition. Except Art. I still don't get why they came back!

Did Karen from finance really only do one balloon in her act?! Not fussed about Art’s big mouth. Kita’s quick change stuff was pretty good once she got started. Scarlett’s pole dancing was great but the bull-shit about how she’d never done it before annoyed me. Electra’s dancing was interesting but the god-awful wig distracted me. If she was concerned about it coming off then a statement bald or painted head would have been better imo.

All of the runways were great. I particularly liked KfF and Art.

It’s annoying cos I would say Scarlett is normally a bit weak and my least favourite but this week she did great.

I felt like Electra was definitely going to lipsync assassin her opponent so was hoping it would be Art as I wanted the other two to stay in. proper gutted it was Kita cos I like her. Hoping for a double chantay but no chance as penultimate week. I have to say although Kita is better overall I like Electra more. Kita did a great lipsync though. Proper example of you don’t have to death drop to keep the attention.

I did not like Kita or Scarlett’s outfits on the song bit at all.

Art’s look and verse was awesome.

Not a fan of Karen’s lyrics being so vague and not about her. I’m guessing that was an insecure thing?

I thought Art’s best drag was the stand-out look.

Really, really do hate Scarlett’s lips.

I actually thought Art had a great chance of winning and would have been happy with that. Tbh, the only one I don’t like is Scarlett.

Urgh, the switching between them all made it really hard to watch and judge who was doing well. I think Karen was out of the running before they started and I hoped Scarlett wasn’t in the running, not sure how Art did from those tiny snippets so Kita to win?

God knows what Art came back for, but hey....

The standard shot up in the final episodes, of course, and it was consequently much more entertaining. I thought that sequence they made for You're A Winner Baby was spectacular - esp Scarlett. Wow.

Weirdly I found myself not caring who would win for this series. In the end it was neither of the two with dodgy racist histories nor the one who came back for no reason, so a decent result all round.
