Never heard of this fuck up before seeing and signing the Scotland related petition earlier. I mean I know there are people with views like it but to be so open and public about it.

Anyway for what it's worth it's a bit off to accuse someone of posting racist stuff without giving them the opportunity to defend themself. And usernames are not unique across the web. Years ago butchers mistakenly thought I was someone posting under the same name elsewhere. Was cleared up but at least he openly said it.
 
I spent some time trolling their site tonight. It was cathartic. They all claim the legalize rape thing was satire. Only, it doesn't read as satire in any way. Just some really sexist, misogynistic logic. Even if it was purely theoretical. A lot of the stuff is just as bad / worse. Why women shouldn't work, or be allowed to make their own decisions, or have sex with anyone (besides these "kings", of course).
 
The forum has now been made private. I am guessing that the meetings are still going forward I'm some way and It's accessible there. Roosh is both stubborn and stupid. I doubt all the meetings have been cancelled.

I doubt the meetings were ever going to take place. Again, I doubt he has enough followers who would have come. But he has had a massive increase of traffic to his site.

Yeah I agree, none of it is intentional satire but that doesn't stop me from finding this sort of thing funny.

I thought all the teenaged girls rejected his advances. Seems instead that she had lots of other lovers at the same time as poor Arthur, which is almost as bad perhaps.

I don't see this. Hes a narcissistic egoist communicating to an internet echo chamber - its exactly the sort of miscalculation thats likely to happen. Why would he deliberately misinform his followers? Yes its brought lots of attention - but in the form of a massive, universal rejection of his agenda and the people who buy into his shit are being directly challenged on their ideas - something which probably doesn't happen to them very often (again - the echo chamber effect).

This attempt to publicly galvanise the "neo-masculinist" movement has exposed it as a ideology that is not acceptable to wider society that will be aggressively challenged if it shows its face in public - and their activities are now likely to be closely monitored and will face greater disruption. Like the nazis they are essentially restricted to secret meetings in private and wanking each other off on the internet. Unlike the nazis, I doubt they have many members willing to go toe to toe with those who would oppose them.

And are we seeing the most pathetic deployment ever of the "it was satire" defence?

Does he have any followers? IE a proper organisation with members?
 
I think this one only got famous after he wrote that 'essay' about how rape should be legalised (on private property). He's not one of the really popular PUA teachers, the ones with actual followings who pay to hear them speak.

Yes. And it has the added measure of showing just how dangerous and extreme his position is.

I think there's a danger when we talk about ridicule of these pricks that people think we mean downplay the impact of their views. This gets it right. This places them where their views sit.
