This is clearly a very important question but I just can't decide.

Then there's that Titus Pullo... mmmmmm

So, good people of urban, whaddaya think?

I can only say Cleopatra looks very foxy when she's dolled up....

Also, this is the only thing on TV worth watching currently--I think it's great, really into it!!

Definately Roman.

Gutted they didnt have a gay ending where Vorenus and Pullo walked of into the sunset hand in hand :D

the ending with pullo and his son walking off, did leave it open for a third series

sign the petition!!!!

i didn't see the first series when it was on, then someone lent me the dvd, we watched it when we rented a cottage in Ironbridge in January - we were hooked, saw it over a few days, have watched everyone of the second series, and want more:mad:

Not just that but the conflict between Livia and Atia is ripe for some murderous shenanigans plus Servilia's curse onto Atia has yet to be completely fulfilled. Atia will know only misery and taste iron and dust.

Plus we all know that Livia was probably the most ruthless murdering bitch in the history of the world and even Atia is an innocent fluffy bunny in comparison, so I want to see more!

PLEASe people sign the petitions for more Rome!

James Purefoy is one of nature's finest. His ex wife, Holly Aird, was also very hot. I bet their babies were beautiful.

PS: They were going to set up for a 3rd series - set in Israel, hence the assination and Timon subplot that goes nowhere. It's also why they had to somehow rush our heroes all the way back to rome for the ending - they weren't originally going to go home.

I did think Anthony - whoever pklayed him - was doing some excellent 'about to die acting' I couldn't help thinking some of the grief was genuine as it meant he wasn't going to be in Rome any more!!

pullo is great when he goes postal - butting that fellah , biting his tongue out and then just lashing out at everything that moved

videos for the Anthony and Cleopatra fans

The Hunting Lesson

This is just soooo sad :(

they were both such horrible people but really felt for them and cried at the end. Fabulous Telly

Funny how similar threads about females result in angry posts about the boards turning into Loaded/Nuts/Zoo etc, yet threads like are acceptable.

That's because the threads bear only a superficial similarity.

Loaded / Nuts / Zoo etc. are trashy and exploitative whereas Rome is quality entertainment. It's not just how the actor looks but the character he plays and the quality of his acting that makes him attractive.

One poster has said they think Cleopatra looked very foxy and nobody made a big fuss about it. I agree with his assessment too, I think she looked gorgeous, with or without her wig.

Also, this thing called sexism, perhaps you've heard about it?

:p

Just caught up with the thread, and indeed the series--it's showing twice nightly on HBO in the States, so I was able to see it all very quickly. Brilliant stuff, though it's obvious they were planning to do another series or two. Got too expensive I hear. They seem to be preparing the ground for Christianity, what with the Jews gradually becoming disgusted with all the decadence and cruelty and that. And I think it's pretty unfair to Cicero. And Brutus. But they get Antony exactly right imo.
