The Cathars were right
The only time I drank in there with any regularity was before they lost half of it to Pizza Hut - this would be back around 82 - 84, I think.
Damn straight. It used to be a great venue for breakthrough bands who weren't big enough for the Academy, but too big for any other venue in Brixton.
The Forum's a bit bigger:
About: The forum kentish town features anything from Indie Rock to R 'n' B to Heavy Metal, often all of the above in the same week. This is a 'medium-sized entertainment venue' (capacity: 1350 downstairs standing and 760 upstairs seated) and is a great music venue.

It looks like the Prince is definitely back now, and they've put new seating all along the road outside.
It's driving me crazy trying to keep my Brixton listings up to date!Yep, and they've got menus on the table and are open at lunchtime.
The Fridge, however, has a Notice of Forfeiture taped to the entrance.
The fate of the Fridge has been sad to witness. Live music venues are thriving, it's got a great reputation, great stage and great PA and still the place flounders about.
There are some fantastic pics of the POW in its original deco glory in one of the 'pubs' folders at the Minet Rd archive. You heard it here first !
