Yeah he was decent in real life too for Lyon and Rennes. Ridiculously good on FM.Kim Kallstrom, Arsenal. Got injured, Arsenal signed him on loan anyway. Did nothing, played very little, left.
Great on Football Manager earlier in his career though, a must sign as an AM C.
Andriy VoroninThere have been a few greats who've come to England for a late career payday and flopped a bit. Andrei Shevchenko, Juan Veron, etc.
Veron was only 26 when he joined United....There have been a few greats who've come to England for a late career payday and flopped a bit. Andrei Shevchenko, Juan Veron, etc.
So he was; I thought he was older.Veron was only 26 when he joined United....
Yeah, Veron was decent for a bit tbh. Bastian S not so muchSo he was; I thought he was older.

but failed to win anythingAll three of those played for England
They did, and certainly Cole and Walcott won a fair bit of silverware too. Cole especially was over-hyped as a youth, I seem to remember him being compared to Zidane, just like Ferdinand was compared to Sammer or Baresi. I'm not sure Mourinho was willing to give him what he needed at Chelsea, and you could argue he stayed there too long. All three of those played for England

Walcott was a victim of Sven's daft decision in 2006 to take him to the WC.
Cole had fantastic talent but very poor decision making and vision as a player .They did, and certainly Cole and Walcott won a fair bit of silverware too. I think he'd have been better off going abroad much earlier in his career, to teach him that kind of thing.Cole had fantastic talent but very poor decision making and vision as a player .
Name from the past that one.Brett Angell was a very prolific lower league goal scorer. It's a shame he didn't transition to the PL.
Possibly but he had peak Mourinho who as I recall gave the impression that Cole wasn’t always a good listener ?I think he'd have been better off going abroad much earlier in his career, to teach him that kind of thing.
