When times feel a bit bleak, always reach for these tunes... :)

Found this in our local Oxfam yesterday; Mrs B was so excited because she really wanted it in 1982 but we were poor as church mice then. She's waited 42 years, bless her...she really enjoyed listening to it last night. Probably sounded a good deal better than it would have done in vinyl form on our old Dansette back then!

Mrs B is particularly excited about this mini-haul. Being Welsh the SFA needs no explanation, but she's also chuffed to finally get a copy of Let's Dance with a cover. In 1983 her flat-mate bought it on vinyl and when he opened the cellophane found that it contained 2 records. he kindly gave the uncovered record to Mrs B who has loved it ever since as it reminds her of her friend and good times in Cardiff. Now, 41 years later, she's delighted to read the sleeve notes and lyrics....so it wasn't Guardian man! :D

Amp or mixer? The mixer is a very nice Ecler Hak 360. The amp's a Yamaha something or other

That's brilliant GE; I've only got about 50 vinyl albums and 50 cherished singles (from the late 70s/early 80's) but this year I finally got them all in proper (Spincare) covers and sorted out; it feels really satisfying, doesn't it?
It's great - all the LPs and 12s are Kallaxed in some sort of order and I can find records in minutes, rather than days :D

I bought a bundle of vinyl FB Marketplace - I'm out of work atm, so this is a side hustle income to keep bills paid.
This pic is the 12" of Control Phreaks tracks 'Want' and 'I Need' - relatively obscure piece of UK garage (or garridge, if you prefer). Worth more than the entire bundle cost, but warped to absolute fuckery.
Sent it off to a record flattening service via eBay. Came back this morning flat as a pancake 👍🏻
