If the police are awash with illegal and unaccounted for firearms to plant on people they shoot without one, why is it so rare to happen? The Duggan case is the only one I can think of where it's in dispute. And dispute is the correct term, it's far from established either way.
Would they be more satisfied with an RPG?

I don't 'know', I'm going on what's been reported so far. It may well be disputed it the coming weeks/months, but it seems plausible. (Court or on the journey to/from court.)
I think that's the police suggestion. Three or four people have been arrested for conspiracy to bust someone out of court, or whatever the more formal title of that offence is.
