police protect the trots!

Yes. They are supposed to be the most class conscious elements of the working class. They should be setting an example, as Chuck quite rightly pointed out.
Is this some kind of clever piss take I'm too thick to get on to?

This is very dull but if i don't say something its gonna look like was trying to take the piss which isn't the case.

Independent from what...?

I dont think there is a branch in sheffield, and I wasn't ever going to buy a house there, as a far as I know.
No there isn't a branch as i know, thats why i asked where it had gone. originally there were at least 3 members up here at uni and it was mooted that a house might be bought and rented to students. Canny idea i thought. I didn't mean you personally were gonna buy a house i acept that was confusing :)

Ok that is all, i hope you succeed in building your movement and weathering the piss takes from this lot on here.

Yes, Red Hippy did get arrested. Yes, he had ecstasy on him. No, it isn't something he's proud of.
why not? I have a couple of drug convictions and i am proud of them. They should not be a blight on my person whatsoever, it is my decision to poison myself in limited way from time to time. And your on manifesto says that you want to legalise all drugs and get rid of the stigma (and i suppose, the 'cool')attached to taking them. Why isn't he proud?

Probably cos taking pils on a march is fucking daft actually, just thought of that :D

Is a very funny board - junior lenin's, Matt adopting the elder position, hilarously un-informed threads - got it all

When you consider that we were modestly told that Workers Power were the most politically educated group on the left I was somewhat let down by what I am sure was a brief lapse in dialectical materialism:

Its rare for events like old people burning to occur now (centuries ago the Goverment reviled in it in England, now they reviel in it abroad) but that boy did seem pretty messed up, however I do not know the full story here, like if the other boy maybe bullied him, or he had a reason to dislike the old women (some of them can be right gits), but this does not warrent setting her on fire at all. Some people can just snap if put under pressure, others are just sadists, who just like hurting others (or for an easier Sun style answer- HE PLAYED GRAN THEFT AUTO 3 FOR 27 HOURS A DAY)

It's good to see that the working class will be in such capable hands.

Okay, so you're right about that one. Does that scream student-leftie to you? :(

Do you need training to be butcher's gimp

Now get back in the box.

PS Glad to see Revo have got rid of that punk person on the website. New website looks very good.

Drug consumption is something to be proud of? Considering its main effect is to fuck up working class communites and destroy people's lives I'd disagree.

Fair enough you have every right to go out and enjoy yourself but I don't think drug taking, studenty life-stylism is something to be proud of. Or are you railing against the man ;)

Althought I wouldn't know that.

Aha I knew there was something you had in common with Chris Bambery!

Who mentioned spliffs? But even then I've seen mates become apathetic and depressed, and I'm sure smoking spliffs has contributed. It's not the 100% harmless drug people like to make out.

But in any case I'm actually for the legalisation of all drugs (takes it out of the dealers hands, who are nearly all scum) and it will mean better treatment for addicts and far less crime.

Also I wasn't talking about spliff, but drugs like smack and crack which have wrecked whole communities, led to 1000s of women getting pimped and abused in the sex industry and fucked up 100,000s of lives. That's not to say that people can't enjoy drugs, but for poorer, working class communities the overall affect has been hugely on the negative side.

i don't see what's wrong with the odd e or three, or with a few lines of speed or coke. it's a fun part of many people's lives, and it's usually only a problem when it becomes their lives.

I've seen friends and family fucked up by crack and smack and cocaine. Even speed.

Lots of people take coke, speed, and es and as you say, it's a fun part of their lives. Don't see it as something to be proud of though. What a webel I am, taking a couple of es every weekend. But as said, despite drugs giving a lot of people a lot of fun, and despite the fact that I think they should be legalised, it has to be recognised that the overall effect for working class communities has been an extremely negative one.

Exactly. He's got to you despite your attempts to keep him out.

Which gimp is that btw? You've accused me of keeping many pets over the last few years.

Never said it was harmless, my point was that "drug offences" can cover anything from being found with an eigth of weed on your person to importing thousands of pounds worth of crack into the country. Not all drug offences are the same and you can't compare the destructive effect that smack can have on a community to the relatively minor impact that weed has on people's lives.
