Yep. Parked at the kite surfing place and walked all along to the river and back. Not sure I’d been there before

You're spookily tracing my paternal family ancestors today! They were shepherds and all lived on the East Guldeford level/Walland marshland just inland to the North of Camber.

Wandered around the Harris Garden on the Reading uni campus yesterday afternoon

A temporary statue of Paddington Bear has been unveiled in the local town, Westport. It's to promote the latest Paddington movie and has proven very popular with lots of visitors queuing to photograph and sit with him. This was 7.30am this morning and there was a family there taking pics already.. it's very cute.



It's a long way to Peru and Paddington told me he just having a rest and will be on his way when he finishes his marmalade sandwiches.

Been wanting to do this walk for ages. I walked from Starcross all along the river Exe to the bridge at the edge of the city; then tacked back up towards Sandy Park (rugby ground). Probably about 10 miles in total; plus a couple more back to the bus stop after the match. Perfect weather and a good way to start the darker months with less daylight.







A few years ago I had a bad back and could barely walk. The first walk I did after my bad back had healed was from Starcross for a mile or so and back. With that in mind I’d been planning to walk the rest of the section but it had taken a while to have a free day with decent weather.

Those groynes look like Eastbourne?

Spellcheck is correcting 'groynes' to 'negroes', WTF. That is well dodgy, Chrome browser on Linux BTW.

There is a cycle path that goes all the way along the estuary which I think I’ll aim to do one day next summer

A bank holiday weekend here, with early morning Dublin marathon day and a traditional horse fair in Maam Cross, Connemara. Didn't win and didn't buy any horses.. sigh
