Petition to save man with intellectual disability sentenced to death in Singapore

Dystopiary

putting up a hook to hang my hopes upon
Nagaenthran K Dharmalingam, a Malaysian man with an intellectual disability as well as ADHD and mental health issues, has been on death row in Singapore for over a decade.
Mr Dharmalingam was sentence to death in 2011, despite his vulnerability, for a drug offence which he was allegedly threatened into being involved with.

* Now his execution has been set for April 27 - that's only a few days away. *

Given that Nagaenthran is intellectually disabled, committed a non-violent crime, and was allegedly coerced by assaults and threats, we sincerely appeal for President Halimah Yacob to uphold Singapore's commitment to the UNCRPD by pardoning Nagaenthran's death sentence.

Tragically, on the 27th of April, Nagaenthran K Dharmalingam was executed by the state of Singapore.

Singaporean activist and journalist, Kirsten Han, who fought hard to save Mr Dharmalingam, scontinues to campaign against the death penalty in Singapore.

From the BBC:

The Singapore government has argued that international law does not prohibit the death penalty and that there is no international consensus on the use of it.

RIP Nagaenthran. 🕯️

and two more people were hanged for cannabis trafficking, that is one scary country, im never going there. Even the cells they keep them in are barbaric, its just got a shower and toilet and a straw mat to sleep on, nothing soft to sit or lie on to take the stress of your body. There is official youtube videos showing you what its like.
