sneaking a bit of Pete in.
Anyone know anything about fitting new pickups on a guitar?
There are two necks, a C6 and an E9. Although there are machine heads for eight strings on each, they are currently strung with six (C6) and eight (E9)
I had to send to america for eight string pickups and they have just come.
If one looks at the photograph, it is plain to see that they are a little large
Are these simply no good then?
Will they still work even if there is a spillage from adjacent strings?
Is fitting at an angle an option?
Can anyone think of any workaround for this?
Or
Shall I just bang them on and they will work fine and I should stop being a perfectionist
