Parking in Cardiff

I'm going to Cardiff on Saturday to see some bands at the moon. I've decided to drive cus the last train to Bristol goes at 22.45.

Any tips on where to park? The nearest car parks to the moon will cost about £20 as will be arriving about 1500. Are there any cheaper options?

Word of warning:

Bus lanes have enforcement cameras along with some no right turns also having cameras. £35 fines.
Be careful driving in the town centre.

Someone says on that site that Sophia is a rip off and to park Pontcanna Fields.

All well and good if you have good mobility, time to spare and know your way around.
I thought just over the river from Womaby Street is pretty ideal for a foreigner (damn English coming over here and listening to our music).

you can park on the street for free about 10mins walk away
often walk to the moon and back when going out, went there on Tuesday this week
some people even park on the pavement outside the closest car parking place, think it's an NCP, there might be some on street parking on Westgate st which is parallel to Womanby st, if not up by city hall which isn't too far

Sophia gnds/Pontcanna fields are a bit dodge to get back to late at night imo as you'd have to go through the park or all the way round up Cathedral rd

Yes one of the reviews of Sophia gdns car park suggested Cathedral Rd.
