This was obviously a nightmare for ITV’s Daybreak which still can’t put down its Royal Wedding tea-tray. Kate Garraway asked a couple of security experts thrust on the sofa for their assessment of the impact on the Duke & Duchess’s honeymoon.

The papers reported this morning that the honeymoon had been postponed weeks ago but clearly now this was due to the impending attack, known only by the Royal Family.

Well, I initially had my money on him ending-up under an anonymous numbered concrete pillar on Wards Island in NY or some other restricted access burial site but yes, I could see them holding him to get info then quietly offing him.

However, Sadaam was taken in a hostile but occupied country, whilst Pakistan is not. I would see this as a massive potential political/defence logistics headache. Never mind the problems in keeping him alive once they had him.

Occams razor. What is more likely. That they are telling the truth and have shot him or that after ten years Obama just decided to concoct an entirely fictional story that is almost guaranteed to damage Pakistan US relations and undermine the entire US Pakistan strategy in the region?

anyone can be cracked under torture . Even Jesus almost threw in the towel at one point . Its utterly bizarre that there arent any pictures and no body either . Completely bizarre . When one considers the lengths to which they went to show Iraqis that Husseins sons - relatively minor fugures - were dead this is quite suspicious . Its all very odd but Im fucked if im going to even begin specualting as to why . But Im quite certain we are being lied to .

I reckon and hope he is dead but it does seem a bit strange there's no pictures of him laid on a slab unlike Che Guevara, that arch terrorist from Al-Queda in Iraq, Uday and the other son of Hussein and Saddam himself. Maybe some will be released later.

There are things much worse than death , and torture at the hands of experts is pretty much one of them . In Algeria the FLN only asked their mujihideen to resist the torture for 24 hours , giving the others time to make themselves scarce . They were utterly commited but also realistic about the effects of torture on the will of even the most committed .
Anyway it doesnt matter what your resolve is when your pumped full of hallucinogens and the like . You'll have no control at all .
