# On The CD Player Today (take 6)

I'm looking forward to his new Daisy Age one that's coming out in August:

The Daisy Age

It was that stuff that got me into hip hop. I still remember my mum complaining about De La Soul.

Bob Stanley has also put together a series of not-bad compilations for Sainsbury's, which you can buy on heavy double vinyl as you pick up your weekly shop. Much more commercial than the comps above, but they've all got some gems
Ta for the heads up KB, hadn't spotted those.

Radiohead - OK Computer

I try really hard not be too contrarian about this, and listen to it periodically with an open mind. It has some good stuff on it, but I can never understand the slavish devotion it elicits from some, when, to me, The Bends and Kid A are both superior.

Babar Luck.

'king amazing. You need to see him live. I saw him at a festival a couple of years ago without getting over excited, but last weekend was immense.

Blanck Mass - Blanck Mass

His fourth LP is out in a few weeks. We could with a new Fuck Buttons one too, since it's now six years since Slow Focus.

Venetian Snares - Live at WTW 07 (aka Return of The Snare)

Even for him, this is seriously relentless stuff for over an hour and a half.

Sugar - File Under: Easy Listening

Am I right, retrospectively, to think this is a bit overlooked, after the acclaim Copper Blue got?

Idles - Brutal
Blanck Mass - Animated Violence Mild

He's definitely got angrier as his solo career's progressed. I can't imagine any of this stuff being used in an Olympic opening ceremony.
