shit, that looks the business. on it.

i've spent the evening doing a mellow summer mix - listening back to that, and uploading it...

it's up now anyway. i quite like it...

1. Jan Hammer - Don't You Know
2. 24 Carat Black - Theme
3. James Last - Inner City Blues
4. Odetta - Hit or Miss
5. Psychic TV - cold steel
6. Menehan Street Band - Make The Road by Walking
7. Scott Walker - The Old Man's Back Again
8. D.R Hooker - Forge Your Own Chains
9. Cinematic Orchestra - All Things
10. Electrelane - The Valleys
11. The Tamlins - Smiling Faces Sometimes
12. Sir Collins - Exodus
13. Susan Cadogan - Nice and Easy
14. Camille Yardborough - Take Yo' Praise
15. Grace Jones - La Vie En Rose

The Beach Boys - Classic Airwaves
claims to be 60s radio sessions but really a live concert of unknown provenance and dubious legality. Apparently a recent pound land release, cost me 99p more but worth it (so far) for the lovely performance of All This Is That, a half fucking amazing Heroes & Villains and a gorgeously fragile God Only Knows.

One Minutes Silence - Holyman
Silverchair- Slave
Human League - Being Boiled

The Valleys is my favourite song ever:cool:

The Drones - wait long by the river....
Pivot - O soundtrack my heart
The Scientists - Sedition

bit of an Aussie day in my gaff

and to even it out

Prolapse - Pointless walks to dismal places

The postal service is real sunday morning stuff.

I love Postal Service! Try and find some of the remixed stuff if you can. Diplo's done a remix of "The District Sleeps Alone Tonight"

Today I've been listening to Godspeed You! Black Emporer - F#A#Oooh. East Hastings makes me feel like a storm in brewing inside me.

Quite different to Postal Service!

Paul Weller - Heavy Soul

Uncut - "Rip This Joint" : 16 brilliant tracks in the spirit of The Rolling Stones
(stuff that sounds like Exile basically - The Gourds' Shrieveport sounds like The Stone's had covered The Games People Play)

yesterday - newspaper freebie Johnny Cash comp, Rough Cuts: the best of Rough Trade Publishing 1991 - 95

Today
Herbert - 100lbs + bonus cd
Duran Duran - Astronauts (looks like I've accidentally bought a pirate copy  some mangled/engrish writing on the tracklisting and copyright notice - Rs for As etc - one songs retitled One Of These Drys :D:oops:) )

Yabby U - "King Tubby's Prophesy Of Dub"

Tubby in his element, ripping the originals apart and piling so many layers on that you pick up new stuff with each listen.
