day off and i'm selecting randomly from my dance music cds to help me get busy (and not doss on here all day).

at the mo it's an old James Lavell GU23 (no idea who he is) cd Tarannau made me many years ago.

i like. :D

<hip twitches>

had enough of that.

it went all wrong. squeaky alien voices.

got MJ Cole on now. dunno what it's called, but it's quite good with an old song sampled

'each time i go to town, i'll see your face a crowd....and when i come back home, i'll call your name out aloud'

who/what is it? :confused:

that' s going to bug me all day now. :rolleyes:

had enough of that too.

State of Independance - Ms Chrissie Hynde.

one of my favourite pickmeup songs ever. :cool:

Bacon Fat and George Harmonica Smith - Blue Horizon sessions.
Black Boy Shine and Black Ivory King- Document recordings.

all weekend, i've been listening to the b-52s (their s/t debut and mesopotamia - 5p each from a charidee shop) on repeat. :cool:

Right now it's,

Workidz - Work It

Proper big room twisted house tune.

Once that has ended I'll be giving Roisin Murphy's new album a spin.

Jello & DOA - Last Scream Of the Missing Neighbors

Isaac Hayes - Hot Buttered Soul

Handsome Family - Last Days of Wonder

Deadbeat - Journeyman's Annual

Swod - gehen

Joe Henderson - The Elements

Von Sudenfed - Tromatic Reflexxions

Courtesy of Ian Dewhirst - an absolute walking library of great music.

BUT the 'European Mix' of 'Whatever It Takes' by Basic Black is absolutely terrible cheesy sounding shit, and belongs to that period in the early 1990's when many records given the 'New Jack Swing' label were butchered and given a bloody 'house mix' when issued on 12" in the UK.

BB;)

Rolling Stones - 40 Licks cd two
I'd forgotten how great their less obvious 70's/early 80's songs were

Shattered is very :cool::D
It's the bastard child of Adam and The Ants and Spanish Stroll (with maybe a little bit of The Pistols/Lydon)

Richie Havens accompanied me in my morning routine again. Lovin him.

But I so tired of the same loop being played on all the radio stations that I reached under my car seat and found an old Tina Turner tape with Van Morrison on the back. One track of hers and another of his on the other side saw me into work. :D
