Saw that on MixMag. I'm surprised he lasted so long. Imagine doing a 3hr radio show 5 times a week (11years?), must drive you insane. No BBC DJ would do that and he didn't have the backup of a production team.
NTS has definitely helped alot during lockdown. There's 2 options and then the archive shows so there's always something to dive into.

I've never been quite clear how NTS functions financially. Obviously it's great that there are no adverts but how is it then funded? At some point i read an interview that implied the DJs pay for their slots rather than the other way around. Is that right?

It's way worse. We're not just talking 15 seconds over the end of a track. It's often all through. Silly twats. Shame, as the music selections are pretty interesting.
