NTS Radio

Sound quality is top too. They have a seperate sound engineer controlling it live all the time, not just the DJ like most online radio stations. they obviously have a bit of money behind it.

Netil Radio is also worth checking out, similar setup and range.

The removal of the thumbnails was a pretty minor gripe, in honesty... Sorry for making it sound harder than it actually is 😂

Heh, all good, I have indeed found it, so it's all primed for me to now forget about it for three weeks ;)

Anyway, back to the point; definitely grateful for those who recommended the station, it is indeed jolly good

I'm sure you'll enjoy it when you get round to it :) I particularly enjoyed the bit where they describe how proud working class people were of their front gardens, and how they changed when everyone was forced to move from their homes.

I got recommended NTS the other week when I asked what was playing in a shop... I couldn't work out how to use it on my phone and found some bits of things on YouTube instead.

Added to the to do properly list

great station, been listening for a while.

one of my favs on there is channeling which is all a mixture of mostly obscure trippy shit that's not too in your face.

Moxie for house and techno along with trevor jackson (playgroup records)

This was on last night, was great! New discovery for me

I've just started listening to NTS occasionally and have taken in a couple of his shows, which I've enjoyed... but he's basically Gilles Peterson. :hmm:
I love GP too. It was GP, Ross and Patrick Forge that filled my ears for a huge period in the 90s. Broadened my musical interest and made me a bit odd in my school friend group as no-one else liked the same stuff although there was occasional crossover. I miss the days of being totally absorbed in music!

Have listened to a bit of Charlie Bones. He was playing some nice d'n'b the other day, but his patter is terrible (so not any better than 6 Music IMO).

The call in bits are naff but I kinda like his patter, he's got that carefree meandering vibe. He's also self deprecating which I like, djs on radio can be super up themselves

This show might interest folk on here as it's described as 'harshly metallic noise rock, unhinged post-punk, chillingly minimal synth, breakbeat rave and pervy wedding disco":
