New records - what have you just bagged?

Two more inadequately packaged records destroyed by the postal service :( Only cheapies, but still very frustrating.

Purchased purely on the basis that
a) this looked like a mid-80's synth band
b) I'd never heard of them (tbh there's precious little on t'interweb
c) it was a couple of quid underpriced (£5 from a second hand vinyl place on Brick Lane)

Not sure tbh. They don't sound massively similar. I guess it must be some kind of reference or tribute though.

From Discogs, Spanish record shop, charity shop, ebay, Soul Source. The Gwen McCrae was cheap, and a little knackered really, but once it gets going all is good :cool:

Crisp biscuit is just slang for a fresh record...this new tune doesnt sound anything like the Rufige one, so Id expect thats all its about
also the Rufige one was spelt with a K
 
Bought myself a copy of the big lad album on vinyl, not my normal thing to buy on wax, but wicked album and wanted to show some support
