Two Orange County cops who took part in beating a 37 year old man diagnosed with schizophrenia so badly he lost consciousness, passed into a coma and died five days later in hospital have been acquitted.

unarmed man killed whilst he had his arms in the air (warning, video does show him go down)

From the anti-fracking protests at Barton Moss in Salford. I'm in the second video somewhere, I saw all the arrests and none of the arestees were doing anything but walking slowly down a public footpath. The chap in the first video appears to have been arrested for carrying a box, and 'pain compliance' techniques are being used on him when he's face down on the floor, handcuffed and has no instructions to comply with even if he wanted to.

It's standard practice at these protests for people to be shoved face down on the ground and pinned down by several officers, regardless of whether they offer any resistance. At least one protestor has suffered broken bones from this treatment.

Thomas was initially taken to St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton but was transferred immediately to the UC Irvine Medical Center with severe injuries to his head, face, and neck.[23] One of the paramedics testified that he was first instructed to attend to a police officer's minor injury and then noticed Thomas lying unconscious in a pool of blood.
