Dozens of workers from around the world may have been trafficked by a family-owned Scottish fishing firm.

Seems they were known about for a while and it was a local charity that supports maritime workers that identified what was going on through supporting people.

The worst part is that they were under investigation & they switched their recruitment to somewhere else overseas & carried on exactly as before

Can't they have their employment visa status suspended while being investigated? It seems like an obvious oversight. These kinds of schemes should only be for companies who are well run imo.

Horrible. It is pretty common internationally in the fishing industry as well. Watches an Al Jazeera documentary a few months with a Chinese boat. Conditions were horrible and a crew member died of a preventable illness because of the working conditions and profit motive.
