Anthony Burke will appear at Salford and Manchester Magistrates Court on Wednesday 15 April 2020.

Not surprising, really.
Fucking annoying.
But not surprising.

Does mean FFP is well and truly dead now, although I doubt it was really a thing in the first place.

The full report wont be published until later this week whilst some of the grounds mentioned relate to evidence beyond the 5 year time limits ie a technicality although an important one , City's victory shouldn't be underestimated. It would be an understatement to say that they have been UEFA sceptic , they had absolutely no confidence in appealing against the body that imposed the suspension claiming rightly or wrongly that it lacked independence from UEFA and went straight to CAF which is what Chelsea did with their suspension ban. Other clubs like PSG have taken a different route of influencing UEFA.
To rub UEFAs nose in it City hold a 2-1 lead against Real Madrid in the CL knock out stage , potentially face an out of sorts Juventus in the quarters and Bayern in the semis whose season finished a fortnight ago. The other side of the draw is weaker and if City get to the finals they will be favourites.
Also bad news for Man Utd or Chelsea who will have been eyeing a fifth place in the EPL and CL qualification.

That is almost harsh on them :hmm:
I care little for Utd or Chelsea but it is still shitty.

Chelsea are still my pick for 3rd this season.
Be interesting to see what the next players coming in will bring there.

4th place is a toss up between Leicester and Utd, the latter of which seem to have the current form to take it.
Would ideally like Wolves and/or Sheffield Utd to get 4th but think it might be a stretch for them.
Not sure if Spurs/Arse will challenge for the glory of the final Europa place :hmm:

Chelsea final set of fixtures are a little more difficult that Man Utds.
Utd have Southampton at home tonight and whilst there is no doubt Southampton can make things difficult for top six teams when at their best its always a question of motivation being a bit hit and miss at this time of the season.
Chelsea then have Norwich, Liverpool away, Wolves at home
Man Utd then have Palace away, West ham at home, Leicester away.

Spanish La Liga President Tebas: “We have to reassess whether the CAS is the appropriate body to which to appeal institutional decisions in football. Switzerland is a country with a great history of arbitration, the CAS is not up to standard.”

Throw in Villa v West Ham final day, could be very interesting, unless that was pure luck for Villa yesterday.

(Sorry Citizens)

West Ham's last three games are interesting. Lose them all and they could very well go down.

(Home to Watford and Villa, away to Man Utd in the middle).

Poor old Moyes, he won't even be able to go back to United now (I think his contract finally expired last year - or is this an urban myth?).

At least they got the Carabao Cup or it could have been considered a poor season, especially given their squad and spending.
