Lunch should have its own thread

Not very hungry today, which isn't odd considering the massive steak and chips I had last night at the Prince Regent. Lovely food in that place, not cheap tho.

Tuna Mayo sandwich of my own devising - MASSIVE letdown - B.L.A.N.D.

I make a killer tuna mayo mix. Mix tuna with some red onions, mild yellow onions or other salad onions, some chopped peppers, a wee bit of grated carrots, one finely minced clove of garlic, some salt, pepper and hot sauce of choice. Add some chopped coriander and mayo, stir well, enjoy. Optional ingredients are chopped hardboiled eggs, olives and capers.

I had roast beef, a yorkshire, roasties, greens and cabbage. oh and a starter of beetroot and blood orange and feta salad. and a couple of spoons of cheesecake and pomegranate.
and red wine.

NOM!

i also had roast beef, with yorkshire pud, roast potatoes, peas, broccoli, carrots, cauliflower  Spotted dick and custard for desert :)

already had 2 riveetas and an apple. But proper lunch (once I regain an appetite) will be homemade soup (onion, pea, rice and loads of parsley) bought to work in my thermos flask. Hopefully, that'll keep me going til hometime without having to resort to the biscuit tin...:hmm:

A wrap with halloumi, a chilli, pine nuts, thyme, rosemary, harissa, yoghurt and rocket. Was brilliant. For some reason I find any food in a wrap really really exciting!

Next time add chilli powder to the mayo.

Nah - capers will do the job. Capers and/or sweetcorn.

I had an odd mix of buttery crumpet with leftover soft goats cheese on top, then 2 pieces of fruit loaf heavily buttered. Also had a cup of green tea flavoured with pineapple and grapefruit, which made it actually drinkable. Normally can't stand the vile stuff even though I know it's 'good for me'

i had breakfast then brunch then lunch...:hmm:...with little break between one and the next. Oops.
Brunch was boiled egg and soldiers  Lunch was cheese and salad sandwich and an apple. Soon it'll be afternoon tea time

Leftover lasagne. Only about 5 days old so should be fine. Two boiled eggs on the side. May also pick up a banana but can't say for sure.

2 small cottage cheese and salad sandwiches, carrot & cellery, a couple of biscuits.
[miserable lunch apart from the biscuits :( - may well need a trip to the shops for something nice]

Another strange lunch for me - cheapo chicken noodles, and a fuckoff thick crust of that lovely seedy bread slathered with butter and peanut butter. Interesting combination

I've just had one of my favourite lunches. I cooked a gammon joint in the slow cooker the other week - along with carrots, celery, onions, garlic and loads of lentils. When the meat is cooked I remove it and blitz the cooking liquid into soup.
I've just had a bowl of the soup and it tastes amazing

Roast beef, roast potatoes, yorkshires, curly cabbage, carrots, broccoli, proper gravy; then rhubarb crumble with creme fraiche.

Roast lamb, carrots, broccoli and squash with roast spuds and a yorkshire pudding at the pub. It was absolutely gorgeous.
