Lunch should have its own thread

I found two MASSIVE out of control courgettes in the garden so am just making a huge batch of courgette, carrot and thyme soup, so it'll be that for the rest of the week I should think. *sigh*

Planning stages here;

Indie sandwich shop
Corned beef & tomato sandwich in crusty white bread
S&V
Brownie biscuit thing. The stuff with half an inch of icing sugar along it
Picking up my change this time instead of flouncing off

I have a slightly strange and poverty stricken lunch: one small spud found int fridge, baked, and filled with the chunk of stale cheese, also a fridge-find, plus a bit of plain couscous with Mr Naga hot chilli stirred in :D

I'm at home, so it was a Jamie Oliver pollack pie, a pound of frozen peas and a can of Napolina tomatoes.

Jamie Oliver's pie seems hardly any different from Young's, except it's smaller. :hmm:

Son had courgette/carrot/thyme soup (a NEW batch this time - courgettes are almost over now though I reckon, so only a couple of meals worth of veg and maybe ONE more load of soup to go  ), with some mozzarella dropped into it and a piece of buttered toast for dunking. I had toast with PB.
We both had a Bahlsen Choco Liebnitz for afters (in fact, I got a fucking cuddle for that :D :hmm: ).

If you're having trouble using up your courgettes I can thoroughly recommend this pickle:

I've made 2 lots so far and I'm hoping to do another at the weekend.

Lunch for me today is spicy butternut soup, oatcakes and goats cheese.

Fish finger butty, same as yesterday, same as tomorrow. Found a glut of them in the defrosting freezer so cooked in batches and put in fridge. Have to say they go very well on thick white buttered bread with lashings of Encona hot sauce

The jacket potato vendor had sold out of potatoes

Have a baguette with chicken, pastrami, mayo and salad instead

If anyone is having a Friday treat lunch today then Just Eat have a 20% discount code for takeaway/delivery :)

I'm at home, and there's a proper fish and chip shop around the corner, so treated myself to fish and chips. Sadly they didn't offer pollack, but they did the cod justice.
