Lunch should have its own thread

I'd been sitting by an open window through which pesto pasta aromas were wafting for most of the morning so was obliged to nip down and get a bowl from source.

It was very good.

Got the day off so....

Large breadcake, toasted with fried bacon and then back in grill for lots of meltedcheeseontopofness and a dash of brown sauce :D
I like not being at work

There is a delicious meal I make with chunks of bacon and butter beans in a garlicky tomato sauce involving thyme and half a bottle of wine, served with onion mash. Replicating it with what was sitting around in the kitchen (pork steaks instead of bacon, bouquet garni instead of thyme, guiness instead of wine, flageolets instead of butter beans and tomato puree instead of tinned toms) was only partially successful. Still perfectly edible, though.

Im going to grill some sausages. There posh pepper and cheese flavour or something. Think they will be nom. Really high pork content.

The problem is I cant decide wheter to have them with potato wedges and gravy or just in a roll with a bit of pickle?! confused. Any ideas? :)

Got a bit carried away this morning....

Three Burgen Soya & Linseed bread sarnies with pastrami, wholegrain mustard, mayo, pepper, cucumber and rocket
One Burgen Soya & Linseed bread sarnie with mature cheddar, XO Marmite, cucumber and rocket
One pack of Quavers
One mini pack of Cadbury (Kraft?) Animals
One muesli bar
One banana
One apple

Is this doable?

I've just had cold leftover roast from last night-lush.

I love cold food.

I'm doing hot pork sandwiches and fried potatos from yesterday's dinner for lunch then somekind of bubble and squeaky type thing with meat and gravy for tea.

Yummy!!!!

Best thing is I didn't even cook the roast yesterday - Mr Tails' mother did then gave us all the left overs as well as feeding us yeasterday!

I didn't have to cook either. Lovely husband made it because I was dying on my arse.

cheese and caramelised onion quiche with salad for me, baked beans for the kids. was nice but the pastry wasnt quite right, as i used less butter than usual

Chicken and bubble and squeak, made with leftovers from yesterday's roast. Also glass of wine, despite still being in pyjamas.

My colleagues brought me to a market they newly discovered by whitecross road.
Much better than the one we used to go, a lot more choices.
But gosh, wasn't it crowded? We lost few colleagues in the sea of people :D
I suppose the sun has drown out people from their cubicles. We sat at the park and moaned about work for a good while

The veggie burger lunch at Honest Foods Brixton is awesome. All hand made with fresh ingredients and great value. I can barely move!

Just had 3 veggie fingers on wheatgerm bread and beetroot. First time I had it as I'm in dire need of going shopping and it was all I could assemble.

I will make it again...:)

Sunny day options:

1. Pub garden on my own
2. Can of beer in the park
3. Stroll round town
4. Short lunch at desk and finish half hour earlier

^ jealous. I have to sit at my desk on reception for most of the day - can't go out for lunch. I do make up for it by ALWAYS having to 'pop out' to the bank/post office/blah in the afternoon, but I really miss having that break to myself

Anyhoo - I shall be enjoying two or possibly three slices of hot buttered toast with crunchy Sunpat peanut butter ont top. Forgot to bring in my last effing doughnut though

Leftover roast dinner from last night - roast potatoes, roast garlic, roast carrots and red onions and veggie sausage. Yum!

a lovely ham salad butty for me :) only I was so fucking hungry when it finally got to be lunchtime it hasn't touched the sides  might pop for a jacket spud in a bit

Wholegrain rice and honey-smoked mackerel with sweet chilli sauce and a large quantity of beetroot / spinach / lettuce salad.
