Lunch should have its own thread

Three eggs, fried, on thin slices of barely-risen homemade bread fail. Two sliced apples “baked” in the microwave, with thick, insufficiently sweetened custard.

Smoked salmon and thin sliced orange pepper on buttered baguette. Only because it’s leftover from Christmas and needed using ASAP.

Good a place as any. I’ve been past this place (the Driftwood Bar) but never gone in. The outside looks like it’s been decorated by a talentless hippy beachcomber you’d feel sorry for. I’ve no idea who the fuck it’s meant to appeal to, but it isn’t me. Ironic cunts probably.

£2.50 for a can of soup - bloody hell.

If you're not eating regular meals it does tend to blur the definition of which one it is.

Honestly I usually post on either the breakfast or tea threads, OH works nights so we are most likely to have a nice meal (or at least one that is worth reporting on Urban) at either side of his shifts. Lunch is a rarity and me posting here just shows how messed up the last week has been :D

Finally felt hungry, nipped out and bought a lovely warm baguette to have with some soup.

Heinz cream of chicken was a complete mistake though, have they changed it recently? It was always one of my go to "I feel like crap and just want to have something quick" meals but it was fairly revolting. The baguette was lovely with a bit of butter though, and I have more of the baguette left for later.

2 Apollo bars (Morrison's own brand version of mini mars bars - lush and a fraction of the price!)
