Lunch should have its own thread

It’s great, just go up to the buffet and load up with whatever takes your fancy. No one orders from the menu.
Looks just like home or pub roast fare, not summat I’m a fan of going out for, esp for a kid’s party, but it looks edible and tasty unlike somewhere like Nando’s. Though a buffet is going to slay me as I have no impulse control. My nieces are strange kids, one prefers a big old roast with stodgy veg and another’s favourite treat when she gets taken out is a supermarket meal deal!

If it is a carvery where you can get All The Meats instead of picking one then that's proper mint, it's been ages since I went to a carvery, I'm jelly

Beware - they always offer you a massive yorkshire pudding before handing you your buffet plate, to try and make less room on it for everything else.

We had marmite and cheese on toast.

I got a small farmhouse loaf from Morrison's bakery on Wednesday yellow-stickered at 17p, I had it as is with butter for a couple of days and it's still good for toast and I can get another 2 slices out of it tomorrow, will freeze the crusts to make breadcrumbs as and when needed, best bargain of recent times!
