Lunch today is gonna be leftover chicken tikka in curry sauce as I cooked way too much for dinner last night. Tortilla wrap around the outside if I can find any which aren’t mouldy.

I'm going to get some mince pies today. Wife's birthday yesterday so I don't start Xmasing it up until after that...but I was very tempted by all the seasonal goodies in M &S yesterday

Looks just like home or pub roast fare, not summat I’m a fan of going out for, esp for a kid’s party, but it looks edible and tasty unlike somewhere like Nando’s. Though a buffet is going to slay me as I have no impulse control. My nieces are strange kids, one prefers a big old roast with stodgy veg and another’s favourite treat when she gets taken out is a supermarket meal deal!

Beware - they always offer you a massive yorkshire pudding before handing you your buffet plate, to try and make less room on it for everything else.

Can't you just clamp it between your teeth while you are loading up your plate, then pop it down on top to receive the gravy offering?

I got a small farmhouse loaf from Morrison's bakery on Wednesday yellow-stickered at 17p, I had it as is with butter for a couple of days and it's still good for toast and I can get another 2 slices out of it tomorrow, will freeze the crusts to make breadcrumbs as and when needed, best bargain of recent times!
