Lunch should have its own thread

I had no breakfast, so lunch was a strawberry, blueberry and banana lassi, with a tbsp of sunflower seeds chucked into it for health! :D

What is a lassi?

I've had a tracker bar. There is little in the way of yummy food in the house at the moment and I'm having to eke out what we do have.

It's a drink made with yoghurt and ice water, and other stuff. You can either have salt or sweet. They're yummy :)

God, you're so provincial moomoo!

They don't have stuff like that in t'country!

Doesn't sound very yummy tbh, do you make it or buy it or what?

yummy. I discovered a lovely sandwich in Eat that i normally would have ignored, just because it was labelled 'wheat free bread'. But bloody hell, the bread was a million times nicer than the normal bread you get in places like that. It was yum, and apparently freshly baked.

I'm looking real hard at that May and I still can't see any carbs

Where are they? Or is it just me who's obsessed with having carbs at least twice a day?

I had a butty as usual - but today's butty was fab! Cold roast chicken and cold stuffing, leftover from yesterday - and there's enough for tomorrow too

There was going to be a couple of little spuds with it, fake-baked in the microwave, but they came out all fibrous and weird so I chucked them away.

Actually no, I'm stuffed. Have weirdly lost my appetite over the last few days

I used to get like that - was convinced it was something to do with feotal growth spurts. Some days ravenous, other days couldn't even look at food. I did once manage to eat a whole (large) box of Roses in approx 5 minutes flat on one of the ravenous days

I fancy an oversized triple decker bacon sandwich with twelve rashers. Tomatoes in the bottom layer and mustard in the top one.

What is more, I have all the ingredients to hand!

Thought about resurrecting this thread for yesterday's depressing lunch (a wonky/wrong tasting prawn sandwich) but it was just too sad. Fortunately today I have yummy leftovers: veg chilli with rice, followed by apple and blueberry crumble with cream  I'm going to eat it at my new rubbish desk, making all my colleagues envious with my excellent lunch, before swanning off home at 1.30pm.

I just had a miniature version of the dinner I was supposed to eat last night, but didn't......jerk ribs (lush) and cold rice and peas (but with black eyed beans rather than kidney) which I mixed some finely chopped red onion, tomato, fresh coriander and lemon and olive oil into.

Mmmm-mmmmmm...there's something very satisying about having a proper meal for lunch! :D

That sounds lush!
