Lunch should have its own thread

Have you noticed any difference to your wellbeing?? I'm taking probiotics but can't decide if it's worth it or not.

I had a wild garlic kimchi omelette for lunch, with gochujang. It was weird.
Erm, not especially so, no. I'm just throwing everything healthy I can think of into my body as it's just lost all resistance to bacteria since I turned fucking 50. Had one infection after the other, and it's worrying me. I didn't go the doctor's for YEARS cos I was just never ill enough, but am constantly there now.

I'm gonna carry on with the yoghurt, cos well, it's sweet and it's quite nice, and it can't do any harm. Plus - extra calcium for my meno-skeleton.

Aw, sorry to read that. I suppose probiotics can't hurt (but can't say I've noticed much difference either) - hope it's just a case of all the bad things coming at once rather than anything else - I tend to think WELL THIS IS MY LIFE NOW whenever I get one cold after another eg, but sometimes it's just a little run of bad health

YES. It's actually nicer than the original, imo. Flying Goose do a few different kinds - I bought the extra garlic last time which was not nice, weirdly  But this one, mwah!
Interesting. I think the 'extra hot' is not as nice as the original one and extra hot is usually my jam. I'll look out for sour, sounds right up my street.

I said STREET.

I'm having a veggie berder in a gluten free roll, with a plasticky cheese slice and salad. I am so excited.

edit halfway through I realised I hadn't checked ingredients and the little bastard is made from wheat protein :mad:*cries* So: burger bun, salad and an afternoon of pain

:( I had scrambled egg when I had mine out - any good? How long do you have to eat soft food for?
Yeh, I had scrambled egg when I was off on Tuesday, but can't really make it in work.

I'm terrified of hurting the healing process tbh polly , so am waiting a full 7 days before trying owt else.

With that in mind, it's leek and potato soup today, pureed :D

Sounds gross but my mum makes quite nice scrambled egg in the microwave. Beat eggs, give it ten seconds, mix it, repeat until it's how you like it. Just in case you get to the point where the very word 'soup' makes you cry :( (and assuming you have a microwave at work...)

Well done for being sensible though. I think I had something crunchy and spicy on day one :D

Tried it. There's only so many badly-done eggs you can try before admitting failure and having everyone fucking moan about the smell :D

Hahaa - pasta for tea tonight! Living dangerously! Ohmygod did you?! My pain threshold lives 6 foot beneath me - I wouldn't dare!

:D:D Fair enough - I did wonder about the smell. Microwave smells are a hot and angry topic in a workplace

Ooh nice  Cook it like a canteen chef, nice and bloated and soft.

I have a weirdly high pain threshold considering I'm a big needy baby in many ways. Also I can't tolerate much soup.

A chicken and chorizo sandwich, sweet chilli crisps and some pineapple. I was planning to get something nicer from the deli counter in Booths, but I was rushing for a train

I’m now eating it on a train full of noisy cunts, so perhaps I should have taken my time and got the next train
