Lunch should have its own thread

Cup of tea.
Salad leaves, cucumber, tenderstem broccoli, shredded beetroot, seeds, avocado, goats cheese and sardines with a minty herby dressing.
Apple & chia cereal bar.

Ooh, sounds nice for lunch. (although the slightly damp middle is the nicest bit of a P/Ex pizza)

What was in it Rebelda?

I had reheated rice and peas with really addictive hot sauce from The Rib Man (the Christ on a Bike one). Tea now. My kitchen is so fucking cold that I have to put the kettle on and run back into the living room until it's finished boiling  #wfhfirstworldproblems

Still feeling crap and nothing in apart from yoghurts so I've ordered chipotle chicken, spicy rice and a tub of phish food to be delivered. [emoji106]

I will say this, though. One real problem with making arbitrary recipes from wherever an Ottolenghi book falls open is a real tendency to end up with plates that consist of not much more than a fuckton of finely chiselled raw veg.

With pomegranate.

:Shivery wfh fistbump: It's a Glorious soup. It says 'mixed vegetables and grains with coconut milk and lime'. Bit vague - I could type out the ingredients but I cba and am too cold to open the fridge :D

Oooh a plate of finely chiselled raw veg is my favourite kind of meal. Is yours dressed mrs quoad?

Thanks, that'll do :D I'm double-bagging my slippers (ie wearing two pairs at once). I recommend it.

Variously.

There's a loose maple and mustard mayonnaise thing with the asparagus, peas and olives; and a chilli, vinegar, rapeseed and lemon thing with the slices of raw turnip and swede. (And beetroot / carrot / parsnip). And, er. A pomegranate molasses thing with the pomegranate and onion.

Surprisingly, it all kinda works. (Especially with a vast slab of focaccia.)

Omelette: Cherry tomatoes, spring onion, yellow chillI, mushroom and cheese. Popped it under the grill so it went all fluffy and brown on the top.

I'd never seen paprika crisps until I started visiting Germany. They are surprisingly tasty.

These were from the Polish shop. They're really good, eh? I remember getting some chips in Hamburg on a school trip many years ago, and having my mind blown by the addition of paprika. Simpler times
