Lunch should have its own thread

Took myself out for lunch, as a reward after a mightily stressful weekend. I had the most delicious miso soup I've ever tasted in my life (which surprised me because I like it, but I've always thought of it as something that doesn't vary much. This was :thumbs: though), various nigiri and maki rolls, kimchi (disappointing) and jasmine tea.

2 mince pies, an apple and some yoghurt, following a toast fest breakfast. Not the best diet :-( I'm defrosting homemade butternut squash soup for dinner but all i really want is chocolate

Had my favourite lunch of the moment: wholemeal pitta with cheese, mayo, black olives, avocado, roasted red pepper from a jar and Bajan pepper sauce. Then a coffee.

Lose the coffee and that sounds like a winning lunch

Today I had half a baguette with coleslaw; orange and grapes; cup of tea.

It's certainly not too early for mince pies if you ask me.

But nobody is asking.

I think we need a thread.

Lol @ bacon porn bears! I used to buy them for my Bfs son but he is 13 now and it's all sweet chilli sensations. We used to call them pom-pom bears which sent his son crackers screeching 'they are called Pom Bears'..I wonder if he is old enough to hear the x-rated version!

Home made mushroom soup (all ingredients slow roasted), with home made garlic croutons. *breaths garlic waves at folk* really nice. And enough for two more lunches, not bad from one Tupperware of home made chicken stock and a pack of slightly wonky looking mushies from TB.

Two sandwiches (they're small slices of sourdough :p): Tuna out of a tin in olive oil. Sliced red onion and the bajan good stuff stirred in. Sliced avocado and tomato, rocket and watercress.

I haven't fed my child yet

I am having salmon, a beetroot and salad for the fourth day in a row. There has been some variation in the type of salmon and salad though so I'm not bored yet.

Thai green curry with pumpkin, baby leek, sweetcorn and various cabbagey/spinachy leaves. Was gonna chuck some prawns in but decided not at the last minute. With noodles. FUCK I forgot to put the Thai basil in

Child had squash soup with the main part of the pumpkin from that ^ and a chicken sandwich.

my "lunch" seems to have meandered all through the afternoon, half a slice of carrot cake and cuppa, 3 crackers with wasabi on them, and a slice of bread and cheese, I think its mainly just snacking but I cant seem to decide on something proper so I might go back to the fridge in a minute and eat salami.
