Legowelt - bit good

Yeah, I've been reading this about his studio. What an Aladdin's Cave!

He's even released an emulated Amiga 909!!!

'Eclectic Dutch producer, and #MakeItNew Alumnus, Legowelt recently released a free drum machine for Ableton Live, based on samples from his old Amiga 909 sample floppy disk. In addition to sampling his old floppy disk, Legowelt included some hand-crafted goodies in the form of some included FX.'

hes a walking advert for analogue music over plug ins if ever i saw one - you cant fake his sound

sound like some old tape recordings...
aha...

The album is Dark Days, a sought-after CDr that contained 14 early Legowelt tracks recorded between 1992 and 1997. These recordings were supposedly found on tape long after they'd been assumed lost, and subsequently became the first release on Legowelt's Strange Life Records. It's unclear how many CDr copies were originally made, but demand for the release has been high—it once sold on Discogs for €101.

Dutch label BAKK is behind the reissue. All tracks have been remastered, and it will come out on triple-vinyl in late October.

Have had a marathon at work today...not that into all the albums, particularly earlier (backseat pimp, noriega, astro cat disco)...but lots of other good stuff:

This Live set is a killer - banging in a way he sometimes doesnt bang - great sound quality on the clip too

If you love ambient electronic stuff- then get hold of this. I bought it a couple of years ago, ignored it until a couple of months ago; It's now on repeat. His best work for me, so far.

I love how resonant the bass is on this.

Together with the vocal sample it puts me in mind of Burial, which I approve of a great deal.

Listening to new stuff on Boomkat, heard this, saw through the pseudonym & just knew it was him...(Hadn't noticed there was a pt 1 released back in 22).
Much easier to know it's him on BC, as it's under his own name.
